The double-sided tape in my case did not make contact with the glass but still adhered very well. If you want a better bond with the plastic, automotive silicone could be used.

It does what it was built for, good value for money, too bad about the customs fees.

The width of this item needs to be wider but have not installed as yet. it may or may not work
