The alam needs to be turned on and off by using a pointed object (like a pen or the ignition key) via a button on the inner recess face. the lock ley doesn't relate to the alarm function. i't a little awkward, but i happy enough. it's only cheap afterall. i highly recommende buying a "spring cable reminder rope" to use with it, to ensure you don't accidently forget and go to take off still disc-locked. (drop!)
